Programme overview
A critical part of developing a profitable business is having a highly capable leadership team. The Leadership Development Programme helps business owners build a high-performing team around them - people who understand the challenges of growing a business, can be trusted, take responsibility when needed and share the load in a growing business.
Unlike typical qualifications that stick to frameworks, theories, and case studies, this program takes a fresh approach. We're all about applying real-world know-how from experts straight to your role and your business.
Outcomes
Completing the Leadership Development Programme brings remarkable outcomes and positively impacts the leader/participant and the business. It enhances productivity, improves efficiency, fosters better communication among teams, clarifies business values and strategies, boosts morale, and provides a valuable network of successful leaders from diverse industries. Leaders will find and refine the leadership skills that have been proven to make businesses more successful.
You'll leave the programme with:
- Techniques to improve leadership, communication and management skills
- A better understanding of the challenges of an owner-manager
- How to think strategically to contribute to growing a business
- A better fundamental understanding of business functions including, marketing, finance and operations
- A project focused on a tangible challenge within your business
- A strong network of other successful senior leaders, facilitators and business experts
Structure & Format
The programme consists of two three-day residential blocks conducted over two months, with a final one-day session four to six weeks later.
The session format includes small and large group work, one-on-one discussions, a business simulation and guest speakers while working around themes of self-awareness, personal effectiveness, and leadership, followed by a project focused on a tangible challenge within their business.
Facilitators & Speakers
You'll have two programme directors alongside you for the duration of the programme.
In addition, we'll bring through subject matter experts, industry leaders and guest speakers to share their stories to help contextualise the learning.
The business owner / leader will also join us on the final day during your project presentation.
Your Coursemates
You'll be joined by up to 25 other managers at a similar stage in their journey as you. We'll make sure there are no conflicts in the room, meaning everyone can speak freely.
This also ensures the room is full of people from different industries, as often the ideas that create the greatest positive change come from places you wouldn't normally look.

Don't just take our word for it...
"We all came from so many different industries, walks of life and ages. Yet 18 months down the track, I can pick up the phone and call those people now. I can talk to them about stuff I'm going through."
Mel Buckley
General Manager at Wallace Stratton"Before I went on the Leadership Development Programme, I didn't understand fully the business as a whole but now I’m able to have this wide view of all the different parts. I came out with more confidence that ‘You've got this’."
Amy Penwarden
Supply Chain Manager at Shot Darts"I did put it in the proverbial bottom drawer. About a year later, I pulled it out and I realised that even without referring to it every week, we’d managed to complete a lot of these things that I set out to do, just by “doing”. It definitely instils change in you."
