This programme equips new managers with essential skills such as leadership, strategy, and interpersonal effectiveness, enabling them to get the most out of the people in their team.
With a focus on applied learnings and embracing the benefits of peer connection, The Icehouse's Emerging Leaders Programme provides a strong platform for participants to launch their leadership careers, ultimately adding value to themselves as employees and to the business.
Outcomes
Participants in this programme will:
- Learn new skills, frameworks and tools to become a more effective leader and communicator
- Develop a broader 'across the business' outlook and a clear sense of direction
- Work together to find ways to build a culture of accountability and support in their businesses
This is also an opportunity for the participants to build peer connections and share ideas of how they can lead in their businesses with clarity and focus.
Structure & Content
This programme is run as 6 half days – 1 session per fortnight.
Together with guidance from the lead facilitator and guest presenters, participants will work through modules centred around the following themes:
- Leadership
- Creating and delivering business value
- The importance of strategy
- Getting the best from others
- Interpersonal effectiveness
- Influencing
Participants
You'll be joined by a small group of other managers at a similar stage in their journey.
This also ensures the room is full of people from different industries, as often the ideas that create the greatest positive change come from places you wouldn't normally look.
