The ICE Foundation was established in 2001 for the purpose of advancing education to benefit the New Zealand economy and its communities.

Funding applications are open now for activities that align with the Foundation’s purpose of advancing education relating to entrepreneurship and innovation for the small to medium or start-up business sector in New Zealand.

The Foundation is open to receiving all applications supporting its purpose in entrepreneurship, and for 2022 is particularly interested in any projects or research that provide a ‘Focus on Sustainability and the Future of Work’.

The ICE Foundation seeks to support creative approaches to entrepreneurship education and is interested in learning programmes and research that builds competencies to help SMEs navigate the challenges presented by climate change or the future of work. The Foundation sees this as a critical area of need at the present time,’ says David Irving Ice Foundation Founder.

If you feel your educational project matches our theme or if you have future programmes of work in the pipeline, then we’d love to hear from you.

This year we have $75,000 available for funding, with increased funding in future years, so are happy just to receive expressions of interest from entities who would like to be added to our funding database.

The Foundation has supported educational projects to date of approximately $900K, helping organisations such as the University of Auckland, Manurewa High School, Girls Mean Business, The Icehouse and Young Enterprise.

To apply for scholarship funding, you will need to complete the form on our ICE Foundation webpage. Applications are open from 5 May 2022 and close at 5pm on 16 June 2022. The successful applicants will be notified in early July 2022.
